About Us

Schrader's was founded by Rick Schrader in 1974. It started as a small shop in downtown Yorkton selling Honda motorcycles. Now, after three moves to progressively larger premises and the addition of new lines, Schrader's is the premiere retailer in the industry in Saskatchewan and on the prairies.

The Yamaha line was added in 1988, and since then Schrader's has carried snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs and water craft.

In 1989, the business expanded to a larger location on Highway 9, just north of Yorkton, providing it with more space for service and product testing.

In 1994, Rick Bradshaw became a partner in the business after returning from Ontario the previous year, where he had been involved in CMA motorcycle racing administration.

Since 1998 Schrader's has been in its larger, 17,000 square foot, facility located on Highway 9 North (and on the provincial snowmobile trail system).

The staff was expanded at the time as Schrader's soon became recognized as the major retailer with 8,000 square feet of showroom space, and a full service department that has a reputation for high quality work which is attracting customers from across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Schrader's was named the 1999 Snowmobile Dealer of the Year by the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association, and in 1999 was awarded Yamaha's Exceptional Service Status. It has also received the Yamaha Customer Satisfaction Award of Excellence based on customer surveys.
